DIY: Stitch Canvas

This project was a fun yet time consuming one. The inspiration came a long time ago when Kinsey, over at Sincerely Kinsey, posted her version of a stitch canvas here. I learned how to hand embroider a couple months before my wedding last year and fell in love with it. I embroidered everything in sight! So taking it to a canvas was a new and somewhat challenging project. If you don't know how to hand embroider, there are tons of tutorial videos on YouTube and practice on some old fabric or even a canvas. It adds a personal touch to the things you create. Hope you enjoy!

Supplies:
Embroidery floss
Embroidery needles
Pencil
Canvas (any size)

Basically, draw out the design you want to stitch over lightly with pencil. I recommend a simple pattern and capital letters for those of you who are new to the embroidering concept. Once everything is drawn out begin to stitch! Use colors that compliment each other and go for it!

Time taken to complete: 3 hours
